About the Job: Canfinis Therapeutics Pvt. Ltd is looking for a Clinical Research Assistant to join their dynamic research team at Kolkata, India. This position entails assisting and working closely with our clinical and research team/collaborator. In addition to managing the tissue specimen bank, the individual will enroll patients into clinical studies, collect specimens, and organize the relevant scientific/clinical data. There will be opportunitiesto learn to be a part of the cutting edge science and technology development team in a high pace Biotech-Pharma start-up setting and contribute to the efforts of clinical and research teams based on interest. This position is best suited for someone who is highly motivated, scientifically driven, meticulous individuals interested in working in the oncology space from both clinical and research perspectives.

Essential Responsibilities and Functions:

• Interacting with cancer patients to perform consents, facilitate blood draws, and collect data
• Assisting with collecting specimens following surgery/biopsy/blood draw Processing tissue, blood, and fluids for research use and storage
• Assisting with subject recruitment, study enrollment, managing specimens, and clinical databases
• Assisting with maintaining lab operations and ordering lab supplies
• Assisting in administrative tasks, such as onboarding new members and organizing materials for lab meetings
• Participation in additional lab research activities as and when required.


Required Skills and Experience

• Interest and ability to work and communicate with cancer patients
• An understanding of database management and Excel
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Excellent organization and careful attention to detail
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to solve problems efficiently and independently
• Specimen collection, transport and preservation experience strongly preferred
